My story
born March 29th 1955 at Grace Hospital in Toronto was raised in a Christian family and at a early age of 5 years old made a commitment to Christ at his bedside with his mother Monica Joyce Buckley. He was the oldest of four boys in his family. At the age of 8 years old he had a encounter with his Heavenly Father where the Holy Spirit ascended on him and he began to speak in a heavenly language. He at the time did not know why or what was happening but was at the Queen Elizabeth Anglican church Queensway and Islington on a Friday night with his God Parents Harold and Dolly Crook. They attended a Charismatic Anglican group that met there for prayer.
At age 12 Bob was water baptized at the Peoples Church where Pastors Oswald J Smith and his son Paul B Smith lead a church focused on Missions and had a congregation of over 3 thousand members. Bobs regular church activities as a young boy was attending Church two times on Sundays morning and evening services, Wednesday Prayer meeting, Boys Brigade on Thursday and Friday night pre youth and youth meetings. After meeting and marrying June 16th his wife Susan Jane Shepherd they made a commitment to serve the Lord. Bob became an Elder at the Peoples Church and Sue and he served Evangelism Explosion at the church, and where youth Sunday School teachers at Peoples Church. Bob also designed a number of theme logos for Peoples Churches yearly Missionary thrusts
Bob in his High School years pursued Graphic Arts where in High School he had produced a number of Silk Screen projects that the Toronto School Board purchased. Then directly out of High School he design and produced silk screen posters and signs for many well known companies such as 7up and Steinburgs who became Miracle Food Mart. He advanced from being a Silk Screen Artist to a Newspaper Layout Artist and then a Commercial Photographer. His career at Miracle Food Mart was for over 15 years producing weekly newspaper and flyer ads. Steinburgs encouraged their staff to pursue degrees at part time school when employed with them. During these years Bob pursued visual arts with the Ontario School of Art and Marketing and Photography with Ryerson University.
At the birth of our son Conrad Robert Buckley, Bob took a leap of faith and left his secure job at Miracle Food Mart as a Newspaper Layout Artist. To pursue an independent career of Photography and Art. The registered company B.Creative Photography and Art Inc was born. Robert Buckley President and Susan Buckley Vice President and Treasurer. Susan also left a successful career as an Executive Secretary after working for, Vice Presidents, Directors and Partners for CTV, Global Communications, and Coopers and Lybrand Accounting.
Our leap of faith produce a very successful business that thrived for 15 plus years. With our success we purchased a building, moved the studio from our house and continued to grow. In ths period of time we gave great amounts of money to support missionaries, started Burning Bush Communicators that produced ads that were displayed in McCleans Magazine Easter and Christmas connected to a 10 telephone message system, poured money into the start of the Downtown Vineyard with a major event at Nathan Philp's Square Toronto City Hall where we had a one day event with major artists perform such as White Heart. This was the day before the birth of our public Sunday services at the High School at Bloor and Dundas St West, Bishop Morocco Catholic School main auditorium.
Positions Held:
The Toronto Downtown Vineyard was birthed September 1st 1991. Tony Romano and his wife Lori were our lead pastors from the Lunada Bay Vineyard in California.  Leadership at the time was Lead Pastor David VanEssen & Elder David Gladwell from Parkdale Neighbourhood Church, Elder Robert Buckley from Peoples Church and Wayne Coombs Lead Pastor from Lunada Bay Vineyard California.
Bob after over 25 years of service at People Church and being an Elder had a meeting with Senior Pastor Paul B Smith and asked to be released to help in the planting of the Vineyard Christian Fellowship Toronto/Downtown which they granted.
Bob has served on the Boards of a number of Christian institutions Jay Guptia International Ministries, Open Air Campaigners, Burning Bush Communicators, Treasure House Ministries, Talit Ministries and Rosh Pinah.
Bobs has served with his wife Susan at the Toronto Vineyard since 1989 with a year of prayer, to our first once a month celebrations that started in October 1990 to July 1991.
Bob & Sue received their certificate of Commissioning from The Association of Vineyards Churches Canada September 1992. Our passion has been to see and establish The Kingdom of God in the city of Toronto and now in penticton bc.
